Hire Vets Gold Medallion Award

As a testament to our commitment to those who served in the military, Everon has been recognized as a recipient of both the 2022 and 2024 HIRE Vets Gold Medallion Awards from the U.S. Department of Labor. Recipients of the HIRE Vets Medallion Award meet rigorous employment and veteran integration assistance criteria, including veteran hiring and retention percentages; availability of veteran-specific resources; leadership programming for veterans; dedicated human resource efforts; pay compensation and tuition assistance programs for veterans.

In the 2023 calendar year, 12% of our new hires were military veterans, and we successfully retained 79% of them.

We appreciate the knowledge, skills, and values that individuals with military service bring to Everon. While many companies aim to be “military friendly,” we consider ourselves military effective because our values strongly align with those of the military—and we offer benefits such as career-building programs that include training and development, industry certifications and mentorship.

We value your experience and can help you be more successful. Typically a five-year track, for those seeking a more technical role, our apprenticeship program* will have you certified to be a commercial tech in just two years. Through the program, participants are given the opportunity to create a long-term career in the security industry. Within the first 12 months, you’ll receive over 120 hours of training and multiple industry certifications. At the end of 24 months, you’re not at the finish line but you’re at the level of something even greater with unlimited success. As a commercial technician, you’ll have access to unique specializations like banking, enterprise or fire safety—or even work towards management training.

Nicole joined the US Army to give back to the country that welcomed her family from former Yugoslavia as war refugees. A veteran with seven years of service and a rank of Captain, her military service instilled in her a strong sense of discipline, leadership, and adaptability—qualities essential for effectively managing teams and addressing complex workplace challenges.
